How we approach brake work
Most shops will quote you the most expensive option by default — pads, rotors, calipers, fluid, everything at once. We don’t work like that.
We inspect your brakes, measure the actual pad and rotor wear, and tell you exactly what needs replacing today versus what can wait. Sometimes that’s a full job. Sometimes it’s just pads. Either way, you’ll know what you’re paying for and why.
Common signs you need brake service
- Squealing or grinding when you brake — usually worn pads, sometimes warped rotors
- Soft or spongy pedal — likely air in the brake lines or low fluid
- Pulling to one side when braking — sticky caliper or uneven pad wear
- Vibration in the steering wheel when braking — warped rotors
- Dashboard brake warning light — could be wear sensor, fluid level, or ABS
What you’ll pay
Pricing depends on your vehicle and how much needs replacing. We always quote the job before starting work. As a rough guide:
- Front brake pad replacement: typically $150–$280
- Rotors (per axle): typically $200–$400
- Full brake job (pads + rotors, both axles): typically $500–$900
